Tourist Information

A wide variety of tourist information is available both at the marina office and the hotel reception. Hotel reception staff will be happy to provide helpful tips and information and can book restaurants, excursions, hire cars, taxis, boat rentals etc for you at no extra charge.

Taxis

The Nanny Cay Taxi Association stand is based by the main marina car park and has taxis available at most times. Taxis can also be called from the hotel, from the marina office or from the courtesy telephone downstairs from the marina office. Taxis can also be booked in advance for airport and ferry terminal pick-ups or drop-offs. Advance bookings, when required, should be made either at the hotel reception or the marina office.

Car Hire

There are several car hire companies on the island offering daily and weekly car hire rates. To make a booking, please contact the hotel reception. Rental cars can be delivered for pick-up at Nanny Cay if you wish. Please notethat the minimum age for car rentals is 25. You will need to purchase a temporary three-month BVI driving license at a cost of $10. This can be arranged at the time of pick-up provided you have a UK, US or other internationally recognised driving license with you. We suggest you rent an SUV type vehicles such as the Suzuki Vitara with all-wheel drive as some of the roads on Tortola are very steep, and not all are surfaced. Please note that even though all the cars here are left-hand drive, we drive on the LEFT side of the road in the BVI.

Flight Reservations and Timetables

This website contains links to regularly updated information on local airline websites and to airline websites whose services include flights to and from the British Virgin Isles. Most international airlines including Virgin, BA, Air France and KLM have stated they no longer require flight confirmation. We do, however, suggest that local flights are confirmed as schedules do sometimes change at short notice.
