Abstract painter
Stephanie Hoff Clayton was born in
Birmingham, Alabama, in 1965. At a young
age, she developed a passion for artistic
expression. After completing her art
education at Tulane University, she opened
a studio in Louisiana where she painted
and taught art to adults and children. In
1998, she and her husband relocated to the
British Virgin Islands, where she
continued her artistic career. >From then
until 2003 when she returned to teaching,
she spent much time sailing and exploring
the Caribbean. Still residing in the B.V.I.,
Clayton is a major presence in its
artistic community.
Stephanie Clayton has
been the recipient of many awards and
distinctions. Her work is part of several
national and international collections,
and has been the subject of numerous
periodicals.
