There are many sports and activities available at Nanny Cay. Here are a few suggestions.
Skippered Daysail Packages
There are several daysail boats based at Nanny Cay offering skippered packages complete with lunch, refreshments etc. Excursions are available to a number of popular locations including the Baths, the Indians, the Caves on Norman Island and a variety of other destinations; swimming and snorkelling included. A variety of leaflets are available. Contact the hotel reception for reservations.
Snorkelling and Scuba Diving
Spectacular coral reefs, colourful marine life and crystal clear water surrounds Nanny Cay. There are many sites suitable for snorkelling but if you fancy deeper and more interesting excursions, there are local diving companies who know the best sites and can supply certified instructors who will look after the interests of both beginners and experts. The hotel reception can advise you of local companies and contacts.
Daily Powerboat Rental
King Charters and Island Time both offer high quality powerboats for daily and weekly rental at Nanny Cay (see 'Services'). Both Island Time and King Charters are located by Peg Leg Landing near the fuel dock.

Fishing
The numerous flats surrounding Tortola are alive with Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit - all fighters able to test the fishing skill of the finest. Typically, Bonefish are in the 6-10 pound range, Tarpon 40-100 pounds and Permit in the 15-45 pound range. Caribbean Fly Fishing (see 'Services') offer transport to and from the flats and provide the services of a trained guide. Caribbean fly-fishing works alongside the Department of Fisheries and Conservation to develop fly-fishing as an active industry in the BVI.
Discover Sailing
US Sailing Association and American Sailing Association (ASA) certification programs offered.Discover sailing in a three hour introduction to basic keelboat session taught on an IC24 (24'); or enroll in a three day Basic Keelboat Certification course. Introductory sessions are offered mornings and afternoons daily. The certification course is offered weekly, with a Saturday - Monday or Tuesday- Thursday. There is a maximum of 4 people per course. Private courses may be arranged.

Watertoys & Watersports
Island Surf and Sail are Tortola’s Watertoy and Watersport experts.
Whether you’re here for a beach vacation or chartering a boat, they offer a variety of water toys, water sports equipment, lessons, safety gear and fun stuff that they promise will make your vacation one to remember.
From their fantastic location at Nanny Cay, they offer wakeboarding, waterskiing and tubing, not to mention skateboarding on the Virgin Island’s first half pipe!
They also offer beginner to advanced lessons in windsurfing and surfing so if you’re ready for a new experience or just want to brush up on some rusty skills, they have a program to suit you.
Finally, they have a wide range of rental gear including; surfboards, kayaks, windsurfers, fishing gear and licenses, snorkel gear and aids, floaties for the beach, boat mats, beach games, coolers, beach umbrellas and much more!
All this is also offered as a rendezvous service for boats that are already offshore.
